All head work done on the finest equipment available Sunnen’s VGS-20 valve machine. Using carbide cutters in standard angles or radius cuts, and Hs-60 valve guide machine using diamond hones. Strict tolerances are kept to ensure maximum performance.

Cylinder reboring and honing is done with the help of Sunnen’s honing machine and the finishing where a more personal feel is needed we use a hand held portable honer. Bores are measured often to ensure that they are not tapered or out of round. Temperature during the procedure is also verified to ensure true size of cylinder. All late model cylinders are bored with torque plates.

Crank rebuilding is a specialty at C.M.R. We are dedicated to giving you the best crank job possible. Our standards call for tight tolerances. Pinion and sprocket shaft run out is normally under .001. Connecting rods receive full treatment, starting with bead blasting, changing of the wrist pin bushings and finally honed on Sunnen’s Power Stroked honing machine. Crank balancing is done statically and not dynamic. Holes are drilled on the inside of the flywheels where they should be. We also use the method of filling the holes that are not necessary, the least amount of holes the better.
